Sometimes respondents don’t finish a form in one go. With CaptureIQ, you can allow them to continue where they left off — without losing progress.
Step 1: Enable Autosave in Settings
- In your form settings, turn on Auto Save Progress.
- Once enabled, responses will be saved automatically in the respondent’s browser.
- When a respondent begins answering, CaptureIQ saves the fact that they’ve started the form (even before entering answers).
- This helps you measure how many people began but didn’t submit, giving you completion rate insights.
Step 3: Return Later
- If respondents come back on the same device and same browser, their saved progress will be restored.
- The form will reopen at the next unfilled question, so they can pick up right where they left off.
Progress is not saved in Incognito/Private mode.
Step 4: Submit Options
- If a respondent completes the form, their submission is recorded as Submitted.
- If they submit without answering all questions, the entry is recorded as a Partial Submission.
Autosave Duration
- Saved progress remains in the browser’s local storage for 15 days.
- After this period, respondents will need to start fresh.
